Santa Barbara Urban Creeks Council and Citizens Planning Association
Successfully sued the City of Santa Barbara to enforce its City Charter entitling the City’s residents to vote on a plan that would allow a developer access through City-owned parkland set aside for creek preservation. (Citizens Planning Assoc., et al. v. City of Santa Barbara, et al. (2011) 191 Cal.App.4th 1541). The City’s residents rejected the plan at the polls.
City of Saratoga
Serve as Assistant City Attorney, and advise the Planning Department, Public Works Department, and Planning Commission, and litigate code enforcement matters.
Granada Community Services District
Serve as General Counsel and advise the Board of Directors on ordinances and programs to implement the District’s plans and serve customer needs, the Brown Act, and the Public Records Act, and provide general advice on personnel and contract matters and other general operational issues.
