Environmental and natural resources law

Our attorneys have a wealth of experience representing clients in matters involving California’s environmental and natural resources laws, including the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), the California Coastal Act, and local laws involving the preservation of coastal and natural resources.

Our attorneys are well-versed in guiding clients through the administrative hearing process and in litigation, and have a track record of success. To further land preservation efforts, we assist our clients in real estate transactions protecting open space, and draft conservation easements preserving natural resources and farmland from development.

California Native Plant Society

We have litigated and negotiated settlements regarding development projects to protect endangered plants and ensured that conservation easements and adequate endowments are set aside to preserve plant species in perpetuity.

Santa Clara Valley Open Space Authority

As General Counsel to the agency, we handle the legal aspects of land acquisitions and draft conservation easements to preserve viewsheds, wildlife habitat, and farmland.
