Pearl Kan is Promoted to Partner; Antoinette Ranit Joins Wittwer Parkin as an Associate

Effective January 1, 2020, Pearl Kan is a Partner in the firm.  She earned this distinction because of her dedication to her clients, the firm and the profession.  She will continue to serve community and environmental groups, non-profits, individuals, and public agencies in matters regarding land use, natural resources, open space preservation, and environmental justice.

Antoinette Ranit joined Wittwer Parkin LLP in August 2019 as a Law Clerk.  She has since been admitted to practice law in California and is now an Associate with the firm.

Ms. Ranit received a degree in Journalism from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, and a J.D. with a concentration in environmental law from University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law.  While in law school, she served as a legal extern for the California Department of Justice, Public Rights Division: Environment, Land Law, and Natural Resources.  At the Attorney General’s Office, she helped draft the preliminary injunction against the Trump Administration regarding the declaration of a National Emergency for the border wall.  She also worked as a legal intern for the Surfrider Foundation and focused on finding legal solutions for the protection of ocean resources.

At McGeorge, Ms. Ranit served as President of the McGeorge Environmental Law Society and Secretary of the Student Bar Association. She received the Witkin Award for academic excellence for California Environmental Law: Cases and Places, and Legal Profession.  We welcome Antoinette as an Associate in the firm.
